Berlin, The Cezeck Republic, Austria, and South Germany!

Hallo Again Everyone,

Hope your Summer is going well. I just got back to Stendal yesturday from a week of vaction to The Cezeck Republic, Austria, and Southern Germany. I had a Great time! Sorry I could not write but we didn't have any internet where we were.

I had a Great time on Vacation. I got to see many differant things. We went to the Cezck Republic on Saturday. It is a Much poorer country than America and Germany and you can really sense that! It has some Beuatiful Buildings though. It is very Middle Eastern!

Then that night we went to Andrea's Sister's house and stayed there fopr Two (2) nights. Her sister took us to Salzburge , Austria on Sunday. I Really liked Austria. Saltzburge is the Birth town of Motzart and where he Grew-Up. We got to see the outside of his Birth Home. That was cool. Salzburge is also where The Sound of Music really happend and where the Movie was filmed. We got to see some of the places where they filmed it. We got to walk in the Garden where the kids and Maria sang and Danced to " Do-A-Deer". It was sooooo cool. I really enjoyed it there in Austria.

On monday night we spent the night in a hay Hotel. It was like a Barn but where the horses would be there were bundles of Hay made into a Big Bed.It was alot of fun. It was actually very comfortable with sheets drapped over it and sleeping bags on top. I took alot of Allergy medicen and it didn't bother me that bad. Praise the Lord.

Tusday and Wednessday we spent with hartmut's Brother and his Family. On Wednessday, Andrea, Anisja, Deedy and I went to a park up in the foothills. Deedy, Anisja, and I went down into a cave. That was cool.

Thursday, yesturday, we came home. It was an 8 hour trip back but we stopped half way and had lunch and went shopping. That was fun. Then we got back into the car and rode until Andrea needed to take a little nap, so Damaris, Ansja and I ate cookies and German chocolate and walked around for 10 minutes and then we headded home. We got back to Stendal at about 6:30 last night. It was a long trip but I really enjoyed it.

When I got to my room I opend a letter my parents had sent me from all of my Friends at conference. Thanks guys. I really needed some encouragement ate exactly that time and God put your letters right there.

It was really hard for me when we got back to Stendal because everyone else was excited to be Home and I knew in my heart that I wasn't HOME yet and I Really wanted to be. I don't know when I will be really Home, In Heaven, but I will be Home in America on Autg. 4th, Lord Willing. Then I read all of those wondreful letters and I started to cry. It was the first time since I got to Stendal that I actually cried. I have come close alot though.

Now we are spending today starting to get me packed because I only have 5 days left here in Stendal. Then we leave for Nothern Germany for five (5) days and then I fly HOME. I will be , Lord willing , talking to my parents today and I will see if they can post some more pictures that I sent them.

Tonight Deedy and I , Lord Willing, are going out to eat at an Authentic German restraute. It should be a New Adventure as Andrea calls it.

I realized that I haven't wrote about my trip to Berlin. That was a Good Day.
On July 12 , Andrea, Hartmut, Deedy, and I went to Berlin. It is a Beuatiful Capital. We took the train and got to see some wonderful scenery.

We went to the World Famouse "Gate of Berlin". It stood almost exactly where the wall was. We also could see how much Eastern Germany and Western Germany were differant when the wall was up. We walked along a river, where the wall was and on one side you could see the Mondern design of the Bildings and on the other side you could see the centuries old, Beuatiful Bildings. My favorite part of Berlin Had to be the Dome Cathedral. It was so Nice. It's wonderful Gothic style acutecture took my breath away. I could have stayed there for hours! I Really enjoyed Berlin.

Well I should get going.

Thanks for all of your prayers and support.

Have a Good and Godly summer.

God Bless You and Your Family.

In Christ,

Hannah

Soaked to the bone and having a Blast

Hi Everyone,

I just got home from spending two (2) day's with Damaris at their Vacation Cabin. It was alot of fun. We road our bikes 20 kilometers to get here. I don't know how many miles that is. It was alot of excersise and alot of fun. We got there Monday night and took a 3 hour nap. I guess we were tired. Then we ate cucumber and cheese sandwitches and learned a little German. I hope I can learn alot more before I come home. Then we decided to talk because that is what girls do best and then we went to bed! On Tuesday we slept in until 11 and then tried to cook noodles with tomatto sauce. It turned out pretty good. Then we read until 4 and I took a nap and Deedy went for a walk. Then we decided we were hungry again, even though we had already ate way to much. So we had more cucumber and cheese sandwitches. They actually taste really good. Then we talked and went to bed. We were so productive. LOL. Today we got up at 8 and decied we had better go home before the rain came. I am sooooooooooo glad the Lord led us to see that then because we got to a village 5 kilometers from where we met the train to go home and there was a little ice cream store so we had vinilla ice cream in orange juice. That tasted really good. When we went to get on our bikes to leave it started to down pour. We road 30 mimnutes in the pouring rain. That was a BIG ADVENTURE. When we met our train we were soaked. WOW. I have never felt that wet in my whole life. The train ride home was sooo nice after that.

Well now we are home and dry but it is still raining.

I will write about the trip to Berlin Tomorrow , when I can download pictures.

Hope you all are having a Blessed Summer.

Thanks for all the prayers as I have been home sick alot.

I am sooo glad that God has called me here for such a time as this.

I am having a blast.

God Bless.

A Week in Germany

This is Deb, Hannah's mom reporting in for her. Hannah called us this afternoon with this report.
Hannah has now spent 1 week in Germany and is adjusting to all the newness of things. Hannah and DeeDy have been having a great time together. Today they taught the children of the Kindergarten that DeeDy attended at that age. They told the story of Jonah. The children really enjoyed that. Then they traveled by train and bike to another town close by to see some historical buildings. On the way back on their bikes it downpoured with rain and they came home very wet! Saturday they travel to see Berlin and then next week DeeDy and Hannah will go to their vacation cabin by a lake to spend a couple of days. After that they begin their traveling with a trip to the Chech Republic and Austria. They will visit DeeDy's relatives in Southern Germany also while on this trip. Yesterday was Andrea's Birthday and Hannah said they ate too many sweets! She is enjoying the food there and is liking some things that she doesn't like at home. Maybe we will have to make these dishes german style! Hannah will try to report in after their time at the lake. She has been busy teaching and touring and hasn't had much time to get on a computer.
Here are some pictures that Andrea sent. Anisja is DeeDy's sis, Hannah and Deedy being silly. Hannah and DeeDy with matching outfits that they bought. People told them they looked like twins. Andrea and Hartmut on Andrea's BD. Andrea is wearing the necklace that Hannah gave her for her birthday.
Chowie, (which is a type of goodbye) from Hannah.

PS Jon and I are doing well. We miss her but are adjusting and are looking forward to some R & R in the next few weeks.
